WWW: Some knowledge of the case study
EBI: Much more developed answers which which fully answer the question
2) Read the mark scheme for this assessment carefully. Write down the number of marks you achieved for the three questions:
1/2; 2/4; 29.
3) For Question 2 on Chicken, use the mark scheme to identify at least one strategy used to promote Chicken to an audience that you didn't mention in your answer. The key lesson from this question was to make specific reference to the CSP in your answer.
A way that they could help to advertise the mocie is that the could drop a teaser trailer on facebook becsaue the movie is based for people who are not younger therefore Facebook is the best website because it is more for elder people.
4) Now look at Question 3. Using the mark scheme as a guide, write a paragraph arguing that it is NOT important for the British film industry to make social-realist films like Chicken and that it should concentrate on making bigger-budget movies funded by Hollywood studios.
It isn't really important for the British film industry to make films like chicken because they aren't really considered big hits, instead they could make film with Hollywood it would be a big hit and therefore it would draw more attention to them and let not only the British audience but the american audience know what the British industry is really capable of. Also without Hollywood if they were to make a film it would roughly make a million but with Hollywood they would make a lot more.
5) Finally, cover the other side of the debate. Write a paragraph arguing that it IS important for the British film industry to make social-realist films like Chicken and that such films contribute strongly to the social and cultural influence of the industry. You may also consider how they should be funded here. Use the mark scheme to help you with this.
By the British industry making shciken it shows that they do really care about certain things for example they show how Richard lives his life even though it is not the same as every other teenager. Also they are still making profit and if the bbfc see that the movie did well than next time there will be a higher budget and Stephenson will be able to make an even better movie than this.
