The budget for chicken as I mentioned before was £110,000 and the budget for a movie such as Paddington was $38.5million. However a movie like Paddington has a lot of cgi which would explain a large budget. Chikens budget is a very little amount.

When someone wins the lottery a small amount of money goes to the BFI each time and that money goes to british films that need money to help to produce their films and money for the budget.

I think that it failed to get funding from the BFI because the director of the film wast that experienced therefore the BFI weren't sure if the movie would do well so they didn't invest.
Production
1) What difficulties did the film run into during production?
There was a problem with lighting in the movie, also there was a big problem with the environment that they were in and it wasnt really ideal for filming.
2) How many days did the film take to shoot?
The film took 19 days to shoot.
3) What scenes were particularly difficult for Joe Stephenson to film?
It was hard too film at night because of the very little lighting around the area which caused some problems.

The film failed to secure a distribution deal because it was thought that the film would fail and not do well at all. Because of the inexperience of Stephenson
